MANILA, Philippines — Fire hit the Philippine Social Science Center along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City Thursday, a fire official said.
Senior Fire Officer Lewi Santos of the National Capital Region Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire struck the building at around 6:44 a.m. and reached second alarm before it was put out at around 7:30 a.m., said Santos.
No one was reported injured in the blaze.
Investigators have yet to determine the extent of damage and have not determined what started the fire, Santos added.
