American sex offender falls

/ 03:16 AM February 23, 2017

Immigration agents captured an American fugitive who has been in hiding for nearly two years after being charged in a Missouri court with several crimes including failing to register as a sex offender.

The agents caught up with Cody Dean Turner, 38, who was previously convicted of child molestation, at his hideout on Teresita Boulevard, Barangay Tanza, in Tuguegarao City.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said he issued a mission order and sent out a team  to go after Turner on the request of the United States Embassy in Manila.

Morente said that based on the request, the US state department had revoked Turner’s passport making him an undocumented alien subject to summary deportation. Jeannette I. Andrade
