Pangasinan village exec shot dead

DAGUPAN CITY — A village official was shot dead on Monday (Feb. 20) by a motorcycle riding gunman in Calasiao town in Pangasinan province.

Wilfredo de Vera, a council member of Barangay (village) Banaoang, had just arrived at his house when one of two men on a motorcycle shot him at 12:45 p.m.

Supt. Charlie Umayam, Calasiao police chief, said one of De Vera’s children saw his father killed.

De Vera was immediately taken to a hospital in Dagupan City but he died while undergoing treatment. CBB
