Village chief killed in Batangas shooting

BATANGAS CITY—A village chief was shot dead in Ibaan town in Batangas province Saturday afternoon, police said.

Senior Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag, Batangas police director, said the victim Demetrio Magtibay was shot to death by two unidentified suspects in Barangay (village) Balanga at around 1:25 p.m.

Magtibay was the village chief of Barangay Lucsuhin, Ibaan, Batangas.

Investigation is still on going as of press time.
