LUCENA CITY – Police on Tuesday recovered in Sariaya town in Quezon province the luxury sports vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that killed two motorists in Quezon City on Sunday, police said Wednesday.

Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police provincial director, said local policemen and follow-up operatives from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) found the Hummer Wagon in Sitio (sub-village) Manalo in Barangay (village) Lutucan Bata around 4:45 p.m.

Supt. Dennis de Leon, Sariaya police chief, said the vehicle was parked in the house of one Felixberto Manalo.

Quoting investigators, De Leon said the vehicle was driven to Manalo’s house by his nephew Adrian Manalo Encinares, nephew.

De Leon said Adrian was a business associate of the hit-and-run suspect, Alvin San Pablo. San Pablo surrendered to the QCPD also on Tuesday.

The suspect said he fled after he hit motorcycle riders Felix Marvin Bose and Lowell Gonzalgo because he feared being lynched by bystanders.

The victims were declared dead on arrival at a hospital.

San Pablo had told investigators that the vehicle was brought to Quezon province.

The traffic incident was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

The suspect faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and damage to property. He will also be charged with abandoning the victims, police said. CBB
