Suspected NPA rebel arrested in Benguet for cop slay

BAGUIO CITY — A suspected communist rebel was arrested on Wednesday (Feb. 8) for the 2015 death of a police officer in Mountain Province.

Jacinto Faroden, who was caught in the Benguet capital, La Trinidad town, was allegedly part of a group of rebels who ambushed SPO3 Wilfredo Degay in Sagada, Mountain Province, on Feb. 21, 2015, the Cordillera Police Office said.

Faroden is currently detained at the Cordillera Police Office in Camp Bado Dangwa.  SFM
