The developer of Torre de Manila on Tuesday denied allegations that it has defied the 2015 restraining order issued by the Supreme Court.
In a statement, DMCI Homes said it has been faithfully complying with the orders of the Supreme Court since it was issued in 2015.
Earlier, the Order of the Knights of Rizal (OKR) urged the Supreme Court to order an inspection of the controversial condominium branded as the “biggest photobomber.”

OKR, in its motion, said the condominium is already on the finishing touches of its interiors.
The company said it has not continued with the construction upon orders of the Supreme Court.
They said what they did was only the necessary measures to secure and maintain the project site as authorized by the high court.
DMCI was referring to the high court’s four-page resolution issued on December 8, 2015 which stated that, “the Court authorizes and directs DMCI-PDI to conduct the necessary safety and maintenance works on Torre de Manila to prevent damages to itself and to the public, until further orders from this Court.”
Contrary to reports saying that the construction is already on the finishing touches, DMCI said it will take another nineteen months or so to complete the building once the temporary restraining order is lifted. RAM/rga
