Morales wins in Summit boxing
REY MORALES of Bacolod City outclassed Consolacion’s Elmo Traya in their 56kg division showdown in last Sunday’s Summit Natural Drinking Water Fight Night Amateur series at the Gaisano Country Mall carpark.
Morales outscored Traya, 3-0, after three rounds of the event’s 12th bout.
In the 11th bout, University of the Visayas (UV) Mardie Muaña beat fellow Green Lancer and ABAP veteran Dan Lou Codilla in the 1:47 mark of the first round via a Referee Stopped the Contest (RSC) decision.
Other winners were Jk Malupay of Cabancalan Mandaue, Maramag Bukidnon’s Rolando Lingao-lingao, Talamban’s Kevin Jake Cataraja, Ritchie Montealto, Bais City’s Richard Barrios, Polid Banal of Cabancalan Mandaue, Gabriel Besinga, Ariel Sibay, Mervin Lulu and Bryan Paden. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
