Bising forecast to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains

Tropical Depression Bising has maintained it strength as of 10 p.m. of Friday, packing maximum winds of 45 kph near its center, with a gustiness of up to 55 kph. It continued to move west-northwest at 13 kph.

This is based on the severe weather bulletin issued at 11 p.m. by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Bising was expected to cause moderate to occasionally heavy rains within its 300 km diameter.

Pagasa said sea travel would be risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and the eastern seaboard of the Visayas.

Its center was estimated to be at 670 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. /atm
