LPA, northeast monsoon to bring rains over Luzon, Mindanao

Parts of Luzon and Mindanao will experience rains due to a low pressure area and the northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said Friday.

The LPA was last spotted 790 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Mindanao, the regions of Bicol, Eastern Visayas and the province of Quezon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms.

The northeast monsoon continues to affect Luzon.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains is expected over Cagayan Valley Region and the province of Aurora.

Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and the rest of Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains, Pagasa said.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. CDG
