ILOILO CITY, Iloilo—The laid-back and generally peaceful province of Antique has not been spared from summary killings of suspected drug personalities.
Two motorcycle-riding men gunned down a drug suspect Thursday evening in the capital town of San Jose in Antique.
Jolmar Naldo, 40, died from multiple gunshot wounds after he was attacked around 8:26 p.m. at Barangay (village) 8 in San Jose. He was brought to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by physicians.
He is the first drug suspect killed by unknown assailants in the province.
In Iloilo City, a 17-year-old boy was wounded after two unidentified men on a motorcycle shot at a bakery owned by the younger brother of slain alleged Iloilo drug lord Melvin Odicta on Thursday evening.

The victim, a helper in the Nanay Vicit Store, was hit in his buttock and brought to the Iloilo Doctors Hospital for treatment, according to a report of the Police Regional Office 6.
The bakery is owned by Barangay Captain Noel “Nene” Odicta, younger brother of Melvin who also acts as the family spokesperson. It is located at the Barangay Tanza Esperanza which has been identified by law enforcement agencies as one of the severely drug-affected villages in the city. IDL
