The state weather bureau is tracking on Friday a low pressure area outside Mindanao.
The trough of the LPA will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms over the regions of Caraga, Davao and Soccsksargen, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 11 a.m. bulletin.
Residents in these areas were warned of possible flashfloods and landslides.
The weather disturbance was last spotted 390 kilometers southeast of Mindanao.
Light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.
The northeast monsoon continued to prevail over Luzon and Visayas.
Cloudy skies with light rains are expected over Metro Manila, the regions of Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, Bicol, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Mindoro and Masbate, becoming moderate rains over the province of Aurora and Quezon, Pagasa said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over the rest of Luzon and Visayas. CDG/rga
