2 children drown in Ifugao

CAUAYAN CITY — Two children drowned on Monday night (Jan. 23) when their boat capsized as it navigated a river in Lamut town, Ifugao province.
Two-year-old Micha Bermudes, and her 5-year-old brother, John Mark, were riding home in the boat with their mother, Jennelyn, and their aunt Villalyn Bermudes-Dawing, when the accident took place, according to the Lamut disaster risk reduction and management office.
The adults managed to swim to safety but the children were swept by the river. Their bodies have been recovered. SFM
