BAGUIO CITY — Afternoon classes on Friday (Jan. 27) for elementary and high schools have been suspended in this mountain city, to allow school children to watch this year’s Chinese New Year parade along downtown Baguio at 3 p.m.

The parade would be staged ahead of Saturday (January 28), when the Year of the Fire Rooster begins. The new year or the Spring Festival will be celebrated at the Bell Church, which is located at the borders of Baguio and Benguet capital La Trinidad.

The class suspension was imposed through Administrative Order No. 008, series of 2017. SFM
