MANILA, Philippines – Three persons were killed when their house was rammed by a pick-up truck Monday afternoon in Butuan City, Superintendent Martin Gamba, Caraga police spokesman said Tuesday.
Gamba said that Maximo Lariba, 60, Samuel Robillos, 53, and Antonio Buyan, 73, were rushed to the Butuan Doctor’s Hospital but were declared dead on arrival after a Nissan Frontier Navarra (ZTX-677), driven by Manuel Cayetano, hit their home in Sto. Nino village at around 1:45 p.m.
Two other victims, Teresita Lariba, 52, and Jimjim Lariba, 18, are in critical condition, he said.
Cayetano was headed to Cotabato City from Surigao City when his pick-up truck was sideswiped by another vehicle along the National Highway of P-4 in Sto. Nino village, causing Cayetano’s truck to hit the Laribas’ home.
Gamba said that Cayetano was taken under custody by Butuan City police.
