All Saints’ Day in Metro Manila peaceful, so far—NCRPO chief

MANILA, Philippines – The commemoration of All Saints’ Day around Metro Manila this Tuesday has so far been peaceful, Director Alan Purisima, chief of the National Capital Region Police Office said.

As of 7 a.m., the NCRPO chief said no untoward incidents around the metropolis have been reported.

Purisima said about 5,000 law enforcers, including 800 officers, have been deployed since the weekend to ensure the public’s safety while they pay their respects to their departed relatives.

He said police would have two twelve-hour shifts to ensure 24/7 security all around Metro Manila.  Karen Boncocan
