MANILA, Philippines — Two men believed to be involved in the killing of Ramgen Jose Bautista, a son of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., were picked up by the Parañaque Police on Monday.
The two, identified only as Michael and Kiko, will undergo inquest proceedings on Tuesday, according to the city police intelligence unit head, Inspector Ferjen Torred.
“We have two persons now in our custody but we cannot disclose their full names because it might affect our hot pursuit operations against three other suspects,” Torred added.
Bautista, also known by his screen name Ram Revilla, 23, was stabbed and shot dead shortly before midnight on Friday inside his family’s house on President Avenue, BF Homes, Parañaque City.
The two men who attacked him also wounded his girlfriend, Janelle Ann Caren Manahan, although she survived and was reported to be in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
Chief Inspector Enrique Sy, head of the investigation unit and the Task Force Ramgen said one of the two men they picked up on Monday, was being considered as a witness.
He added that the man took part in planning the attack on Bautista although he did not participate in the killing.
“I cannot disclose who between Kiko and Michael is the witness because of the sensitivity of the case. For now, we want to protect the witness’ family as well,” Torred said.
