TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol- A total of 633 passengers were stranded in various ports in the province due to Typhoon “Auring,” the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Tagbilaran reported.
As of 11 a.m. Sunday, the number of passengers stranded in Bohol ports has reached 633.
In Tagbilaran City, 537 passengers were stranded at Tagbilaran Port. Most of the passengers were bound for Cebu City. At least one roll-on roll off (RORO) vessel and three fastcrafts were also stranded.
PCG-Tagbilaran said the stranded passengers were given shelter in the different ports in the province.
Authorities said sea trips will resume once the storm signal is lifted and it is safe for sea vessels to travel.
In Camiguin province, at least 42 passengers were stranded at Benoni Pier since Saturday afternoon due to typhoon Auring. Most of these passengers were bound for Balingoan, Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro City.
