‘Nina’ roars over West Philippine Sea

Typhoon “Nina” has maintained its course and now traversing the West Philippine Sea, the state weather agency said on Monday night.

At 10:00 p.m., the eye of typhoon was located at 240 kilometers west southwest of Iba, Zambales, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Nina packed maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph, moving west northwest at 20 kph.

Signal No. 1 was hoisted in Lubang Island, Bataan and Southern Zambales.
