Dec. 24
Maytinis Festival
The religious festival in the town of Kawit in Cavite province is a procession of “carrozas” (carriages) of Biblical characters depicting Joseph and a pregnant Mary’s search for an inn and the birth of Jesus Christ.

Dec. 26 to 30
Damili Festival
A celebration in San Nicolas in Ilocos Norte province, known for its pottery industry, also called “damili.” The town’s age-old pottery tradition has been declared part of the School of Living Traditions by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. Festivities include cultural performances, street dancing and pantomiming the steps in making clay pots.

Dec. 26 to 31
Island Christmas Festival
Final week of the holiday festivities in the whole province of Camiguin, featuring a singing competition and a display of Christmas symbols around the province.
