CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—A barangay (village) captain in Bulacan was arrested on Thursday (Dec. 15) during a sting operation and was charged by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for drug pushing.
Henry D. San Miguel, village chief of Mag-asawang Sapa in Sta. Maria town, was caught in a drug bust at Guyong village, also in the same town, past 2 p.m., PDEA Central Luzon director Juvenal Azurin reported on Friday (Dec. 16).
San Miguel, 45, was caught with five grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), Azurin said.
The village official had been under surveillance for two months, and tried to elude arrest.
