DID YOU KNOW: Emilio Jacinto’s 141st birth anniversary

Today, Dec. 15, is the 141st birth anniversary of Emilio Jacinto, a revolutionary leader and the “Brains of the Katipunan.” Born in Tondo, Manila, Jacinto was also the founder and editor of the revolutionary publication “Kalayaan.” He died on April 16, 1899 due to malaria. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
