Vice President Leni Robredo said Sunday there are more reasons Filipinos should stay united despite the many misunderstandings and problems besetting the country.

“We would want a quiet, peaceful, happy and auspicious Christmas for all Filipinos… Hopefully, in the coming days, we will see what is good in our country and not the disagreements,” Robredo said in Filipino in an interview with reporters.

Robredo is now the emerging leader of the opposition after her surprise resignation from the Duterte Cabinet as housing chief.

Robredo was at the Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Sunday to unveil the “Mag-anak” Eagle Family sculpture at the theme park’s Agila Flying Theater.
