Sisos make it to U-18 championship round

The Siso siblings, Bernardine and Sally Mae, once again flashed their dominating forms as they both advanced to the finals 18-under category of the 18th leg of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Championship yesterday at the tennis courts in Laray Consolacion, Cebu.

Bernardine, who is on his last year in the 18-under competition, will face Fritz Satera for the boys’ title after routing Dan Eldred Cinco, 10-4, in the semifinal round.

Satera hardly broke a sweat for his finals entry with a 10-0 win over Junel Espinosa.

In the distaff side, Sally Mae also had a walk in the park with an automatic entry to the finals versus Christine Bellita. Bellita earned the right to face Sally Mae with a 10-6 outclassing of Grace Melchor.

Another finalist in this Group 4 Philippine Tennis Association (Philta)-sanctioned tournament is John Michael Necessario, who will contest the boys 16-under title against Mark Enriquez.

The girls 16-under finals will have Claire Lazaga facing Elgy Dasian.

Newly acquired Philippine Tennis Academy (PTA) netter Arthur Craig “Igi” Diaz Pantino will be vying for the 12-under title against Jan Godfrey Seno.

The 10-year-old netter is also vying for a finals entry in the boys 14-under as he faces Renz Sevilla in the semifinals. The other semifinals contest will have Seno going up against Newsted Lauron.

The girls 14 and 12-under title will have the same finalists in Zethley Mae Alferez and Alyssa Mae Bornia.

Vying for the 10-under unisex title is Jace Unto versus Nonito John Pepito.
