His Eminence to meet Miss U Pia Wurtzbach

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2015, will  meet with Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle on Monday to turn over her donations to Caritas Manila.

The courtesy call will take place on Monday morning at the Arzobispado de Manila in Intramuros, Tagle’s official residence.

Wurtzbach’s donations will go to Caritas Manila’s Celebrity and Friends Pre-loved Luxury Brands Sale, which will benefit the Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP).

Wurtzbach is a Catholic and a Marian devotee who has openly supported advocacies such as the Reproductive Health Law, which the Catholic Church is firmly opposed to.

The reigning Miss Universe is among the many celebrities who donated items for the first Celebrity and Friends Pre-loved bazaar.

The bazaar will be held on Dec. 13 and 14 at the Glorietta 5 Atrium, Ayala Center, in Makati City.

All proceeds, including the entrance fee of P250 per person, will go to Caritas Manila’s YSLEP.

There are more than 5,000 youth beneficiaries nationwide under the YSLEP. It is the flagship program of Caritas Manila, which extends financial assistance to poor and deserving youth.
