Duterte son respects Matobato’s filing of complaint, but…
DAVAO CITY – Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte on Friday said Edgar Matobato’s filing of criminal and administrative charges against him, his father President Rodrigo Duterte, and several others proved that democracy continues to work in the country.
“Any person should not be precluded from filing complaints against anyone if he or she feels that his or her rights have been violated. I respect that,” the younger Duterte said in a media statement.

But he maintained that Matobato’s claims against him were “nothing but a product of the imagination of a madman.”
Matobato had said Paolo ordered the killing of a man he had a traffic spat with.
