Evasco to replace Robredo as HUDCC head
Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco has been appointed to replace Vice President Leni Robredo as head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).
“PRRD just appointed CabSec Jun Evasco to head HUDCC. This is on top of Sec. Evasco’s current job responsibilities,” Communication Secretary Martin Andanar told media on Monday.
Robredo announced her resignation from the Cabinet of President Rodrigo Duterte after she was informed by Evasco, through text message, that Duterte has instructed her to “desist from attending all Cabinet meetings.”
Malacañang confirmed this, saying “there are irreconcilable differences between VP Robredo and the administration.”
