Dayan placed under Senate custody after being cited in contempt
Senator Leila de Lima’s former aide and partner, Ronnie Dayan, has been placed under the Senate custody after he was cited in contempt supposedly for telling lies.
Senator Panfilo Lacson, chairman of the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs, said Dayan has been cited in contempt on Senator Manny Pacquiao’s motion.

But Lacson said his committee, the lead panel investigating the death of slain Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr., has yet to meet with the other members of the committee on justice chaired by Senator Richard Gordon, to decide on the amended motion to have Dayan detained at the New Bilibid Prison.
“Regarding the status of Ronnie Dayan, in the meantime that he is being held, that he is being cited in contempt, or has been cited in contempt of this committee, you will stay muna dito sa Senate premises and we will resolve it,” Lacson said.
