Dayan, De Lima’s former aide and partner, said National Bureau of Investigation Deputy Director Rafael Ragos and former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director Franklin Bucayu had given him P15,000 to P30,000 five times after he recommended them for their posts.
“Ang dumaan lang sa akin sir yung binibigay dati ni Ragos na P15,000, P30,000 parang suhol daw nya sa akin sa pag (recommend) ko kay mam bilang OIC Director,” De Lima’s former aide said, responding to queries of Senator Manny Pacquio during the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs on Monday.
“Ganun din po si Bucayo. Yun lang ang naalala ko,” Dayan said, adding that the former BuCor head had given him the same amounts.
“Ganun din po P15,000, P30,000. Hindi man tumataas, hindi po buwan-buwan.”
Dayan said he had no idea though if the money that Bucayu and Ragos had been giving him came from illegal drugs.
He also reiterated that he had neither received a single centavo nor collected money from any drug lords, except from suspected drug lord Kerwin Espinosa.
“Yun lang po talaga Sir, wala na pong iba, mamamtay man ako ngayon din,” Dayan said.
“Wala na po akong ibang kinuhaan ng pera na ibigay kay Senator De Lima kung hindi si Kerwin Espinosa lang. Wala na po,” he added.
But De Lima has repeatedly denied Dayan’s allegation.
Before this, Pacquiao threatened to cite Dayan in contempt if he would not tell the truth before the committee./rga
