SAN PEDRO CITY – A suspected illegal drug dealer was shot dead by police during a buy-bust operation in Cabuyao City in Laguna province on Saturday.
A report sent via text message by the Laguna police headquarters said the suspect Mario Aruelo Orza, a resident of Sitio Ilaya, Barangay (village) Parian in Calamba City, was killed during an illegal drug
buy-bust around 12:30 a.m. in Barangay Sala, Cabuyao City.
During the transaction, Orza attempted to shoot the undercover policemen “upon sensing that they were members of the (police force),” the report said. The police retaliated and killed Orza on the spot.
Police said they recovered P500 worth of “shabu” and the suspect’s firearm. CDG
