MANILA — Two bodies wrapped in packaging tape and garbage bags turned up in Barangay Pio del Pilar in Makati City early Thursday.

Investigators said the placards found with each body contained hashtags in millennial-speak “#nagmahal #nagbasag kotse #nagtulak #namatay”  (#loved #broke into cars #pushed drugs #died) and “#nagmahal #nasaktan #nagtulak #namatay” (“#loved #hurt #pushed drugs #died)

A female resident alerted the barangay (village) officials about two suspicious-looking garbage bags at the corner of Estacion Street and Arnaiz Avenue (Pasay Road) around 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, the Southern Police District said.

Responding policemen found two male bodies inside the bags who were hogtied and wrapped with packaging tape.

The victims were estimated to be between 40 and 45 years old. One of them was wearing a gray T-shirt and pants, while the other one was wearing an undershirt and khaki pants.

Eleven casings and a slug believed to be from a .45-pistol were recovered by crime scene operatives.

The bodies were brought to the Veronica Funeral Homes for autopsy and safekeeping pending their identification.  SFM
