MANILA — The Philippine National Police has released a computerized facial composite of the man who allegedly left an improvised explosive device (IED) near the US Embassy on Monday morning.
Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, police chief, showed to reporters the sketch during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon at the Quezon City Police District.
The alleged bomber is described to be 44 and 45 years old, 5′ 5″ tall, of medium built and fair complexion.
Dela Rosa said the suspect was driving a white taxi when he stopped near the US Embassy and placed the IED in a trash bin nearly 200 meters away from the building.
He added that a nearby vendor provided the description.
The police have yet to fully review footage from three closed-circuit television cameras in the area. SFM/rga
