THE Negros Oriental provincial government, along with the Bayanihan Para sa Kabataan and People Power Volunteers for Reform, has scheduled a candle lighting for peace on Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. at the Freedom Park grounds, Capitol in Dumaguete City.

The event is in celebration of Day of Peace (end of World War 1), which aims to encourage other sectors and individuals to be involved in the peace process.

To start the program, the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police (PNP) will hold a mass formation to be followed by a simultaneous ringing of peace bell, sirens and horns.
