Flooding of ricelands was also reported in the towns of Cuartero, Maayon and Mambusao, according to Pelaez.

The coast guard in Iloilo also reported that about 60 fishing boats were damaged due to strong winds and big waves—eight in Carles town, 46 in Estancia and six in Concepcion.

No casualties have been reported as of 4:50 p.m.

Trips of motorboats plying between Iloilo City and Guimaras Island resumed at 2 p.m. but continued only until 6 p.m. The coast guard also limited the number of passengers to 75 percent of the boats’ capacity.
