The Department of Justice (DOJ) has submitted for resolution the case against four suspects arrested in a warehouse in Quezon City last Nov. 15 where police confiscated over P200-million worth of shabu.
Suspects Eduardo Dario, Rea May Libiran, Gemma Rose Codera and John Rey Bungcasan were brought to the DOJ for inquest proceedings for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
They were given legal assistance by public attorney Ma. Elisa Barquez. They all denied the allegations against them.
The four suspects were reportedly “bodegeros” or warehouse caretakers who repacked and delivered shabu in bulk to clients.
Dario said the owner of the warehouse, only known as certain Mr. Chung, hired them four months ago to replace previous caretakers.
Mr. Chung was included in the complaint but remains at large./rga
