A total of 5,036 out of 10,972 examinees passed the recent licensure examination for civil engineers, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Wednesday.
The University of the Philippines-Diliman emerged as top-performing school with a 96.08-percent passing rate, or equivalent to 98 passers out of 102 examinees.
Also in the top-performing schools’ roster were the University of the Philippines-Los Baños (95.16 percent), Technological University of the Philippines-Manila (90.35 percent), University of Santo Tomas (85.98 percent), Pangasinan State University (85.71 percent), and University of Rizal System-Morong (84.31 percent).
The PRC requires at least 80 percent passing rate with 50 or more examinees for a school to be declared as top-performing.
Sirven Garibay of UP Los Baños topped the exam with a 93.20 percent score. YG/CDG/rga
