Four drug suspects were killed separately in Quezon City and Pasay on Tuesday, two of them in a shootout with the police while the others were gunned down by motorcycle riders.
At 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, six men on three motorcycles arrived at the house of Myra Frias on Cinco de Junio St., Sun Valley in Barangay 195, Zone 20, Pasay City.
Of the two who entered the house, the one wearing a face mask shot Frias four times, the victim’s sister told the police.
According to barangay officials, Frias was a drug user and runner who surrendered under the government’s Oplan Tokhang.
Just three hours earlier, Anecito Ybañez, 59, was shot by two men on a motorcycle in front of his house on Taft Avenue, Pasay City.
Barangay chair Arvin Amistoso told the police that Ybañez was a known thief and drug courier who did not surrender under Oplan Tokhang.
In Quezon City, two suspected drug couriers were shot dead by the police after an entrapment operation.
They were identified as Ronaldo Sadiosa Jr., 22 and a certain “Ron Ron,” around 20 to 25 years old. Both were known drug pushers in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches.
According to the Quezon City police, the two were tipped off to the police by their clients who were earlier arrested in a buy-bust operation.
Recovered from the pair were two handguns, 15 sachets of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and drug paraphernalia.—WITH JHESSET O. ENANO
