FRAT MEMBER SHOT

A FRATERNITY member was shot and wounded by motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Cansaga, Consolacion town, northern Cebu, past midnight yesterday.

Anthony Anfone of barangay Nangka, Consolacion, sustained gunshot wounds in the face and body.

Police said Anfone was with three friends buying bread in a bakery when two men on a motorcycle arrived and opened fire.

The assailants fled toward barangay Poblacion.

A friend of Anfone admitted that they are members of the Tau Gamma fraternity. The motive of the shooting could be fraternity related, said police./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA

PACKS of suspected shabu were seized from the house of a man believed to be involved in selling illegal drugs in barangay Ermita, Cebu City.

Police said the subject of the raid, Nilo Abad, fled after noticing the presence the raiding team.

A search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Soliver Peras was used in the raid.

MAN LOSES BIKE TO ARMED MEN

A 24-YEAR OLD man reported to the police that two armed men stole his motorcycle in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.

Christian Martinez said he was eating in a restaurant at dawn yesterday when two men pointed guns at him and demanded the key of his green Yamaha motorcycle with plate number IS-4398.
