22-year-old man found dead in Cebu

CEBU CITY — A 22-year-old man who just celebrated his birthday was found dead and hogtied at a fishpond in Sitio Lawis, Barangay Jugan, Consolacion town on Monday afternoon.
Diosdado Abella, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Nangka in the municipality, had what was believed to be a bullet wound in the head.
Senior Insp. William Homoc, Consolacion police station commander, said the investigation has started to identify the perpetrators.
The victim had no crime records and was not suspected to be involved in illegal drugs, said Homoc.
The victim’s mother Diosdada said her son who celebrated his birthday on Monday, went to his brother’s house in the morning in Barangay Jugan. He was later found floating on the fishpond about 2 p.m. SFM/rga
