A low pressure area near Surigao del Sur will bring rain in parts of Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Monday.

“Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Caraga and Davao region,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The LPA was last spotted 510 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to northwest with slight to moderate seas. CBB/rga
