Hogtied woman rescued from live-in partner in Bulacan

MANILA, Philippines—A woman was rescued unharmed after being held hostage by her live-in partner in Malolos City, Bulacan Thursday, the Philippine National Police said.

Gina Lanuza, 32, was hogtied and threatened to be killed by her 30-year-old partner Michael Castillo at around 9 a.m. at the Heritage Subdivision in Longos, said PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz.

Lanuza was rescued at around 11:30 a.m. by members of the Malolos city police force.

Castillio is now under the custody of the city police for documentation and filling of appropriate chargers.
