ZAMBOANGA CITY – Two dead women separately recovered here on Tuesday might have been summarily executed but police are still investigating to identify the killers, according to a police official.

One of the victims, who wore a hijab and was between 20 and 30 years old, was found at a drainage in Barangay Limpapa while the other victim, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old, was fished out of the San Ramon River in Barangay Talisayan.

Senior Superintendent Luisito Magnaye, the city police director, said the police were still piecing together circumstances behind the deaths of two women as of Wednesday, but it was clear they were murdered. He said both had head injuries.

The two women – one of whom also had a bullet wound in the head – remained unidentified as of yet.  SFM
