Marc Guingona Lamb’s mom ‘devastated’ over son’s ‘untimely’ death
MANILA, Philippines – Marie Guingona Lamb said that she was “devastated and brokenhearted” at the “untimely and accidental death” of her son and was grateful for the “outpouring of love and condolences”.
Marc Guingona Lamb fell to his death from the 31st floor of the Sky Lounge at the Vivere Hotel Suites early Thursday. He was reported to have had drinks with a friend Wednesday night.
“I am devastated and brokenhearted at the untimely and accidental death of my beloved Marc,” said Mrs. Guingona-Lamb, daughter of former Vice President Teofisto Guingona, in a statement.
Lamb said she was in Mindanao when the accident happened.
“As I am on my way back from Mindanao with my mother, Marc is surrounded by his father, grandfather, uncles, aunts and cousins. Arrangements are being made for his viewing at San Antonio, Makati. Details will be provided later,” said Lamb’s mother.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love, condolences and prayers from family and friends. We, Marc’s loving family, would appreciate to be allowed to grieve in private,” said Lamb.
