On Halloween, six people were gunned down in Mandaluyong and Pasig City by unidentified masked men.

In Mandaluyong City, five people believed to be in a pot session were shot dead by six unidentified men inside the house of one of the victims in Blk 37, extension, lot 1, in Barangay (village) Additional Hills around 9:35 p.m., according to a report to Senior Superintendent Joaquin Alva, the city’s police chief.

FEATURED STORIES

Barangay officer Jonathan Villaflores told the Inquirer the five victims were allegedly engaged in a pot session that night inside the house owned by Evangelista.

According to initial investigation, around six armed suspects went inside the house and told the two children inside to go out. The suspects then asked the victims to lie face down before they shot them dead, Alva said.

The victims died on the spot while the suspects immediately fled to unknown direction.

The police recovered from the crime scene several drug paraphernalia including foil and toother and five pieces of plastic sachets containing methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu.”

Villaflores said Discargar’s mother was earlier looking for the missing P200,000 money of her daughter she allegedly received from the sale of their house.

The barangay said of the five, only three are on their drug watchlist. None of them surrendered to the authorities.

Meanwhile, in Pasig City, Billy Joe Avilles was gunned down in front of his house along Santos Street in Barangay Buting around 8:24 p.m. by two suspects onboard a motorcycle.

According to the report reaching EPD director Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, Avilles was merely sitting outside when the suspects shot him in different parts of his body.

The suspects fled immediately.

The responding barangay emergency unit declared Avilles dead on the spot.

Sapitula said Avilles was included on the drug watch list of Barangay Sto Tomas as user and pusher.
