PHL Post issues commemorative stamps for PAL’s 75th anniversary

The Philippine Postal Corporation has released commemorative stamps for the 75th anniversary of the country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL).

The PAL commemorative stamps show the flag carrier flying over a map of the world, with the Philippine islands highlighted in blue. They also features PAL’s new slogan, “The Heart of the Filipino.”

“From the beauty of the Philippines to the warmth of its people, Philippine Airlines embodies the generous, the resilient, the Beautiful Heart that is uniquely Filipino,” the slogan read.

FEATURED STORIES

PAL, founded in February 1941 by a group of businessmen, was the first commercial line in Asia and the oldest of those currently in operation.

The stamps are available at the Central Post Office and post offices nationwide. YG/JE/rga
