Drug suspect killed, 3 companions nabbed in North Cotabato town
MLANG, NORTH COTABATO—A 34-year-old drug suspect was killed while three of his alleged companions were arrested during an anti-drug operation here on Thursday, the police said.
Senior Inspector Ramel Hojilla, town police chief, said the raiding team was forced to shoot Rudil Pananguilan when he violently resisted during the raid in Sitio Langaban in Barangay (village) Lipaga.
Recovered inside Pananguilan’s house were a .38 caliber revolver, a homemade 9-millimeter submachine gun, ammunition magazines and an M203 grenade launcher.
Senior Superintendent Emmanuel Peralta, the North Cotabato police director, said Pananguilan was a high-value target and also operated in nearby provinces.
