70-year-old market vendor in San Juan wins P27.6-M lotto jackpot

MANILA — A 70-year-old market vendor from San Juan City won the P27.6-million jackpot in the 6/42 Lotto draw last Oct 22.

After placing a bet of P60, his randomly picked winning numbers 09-10-21-31-41-02 enabled him to bring home the P27,592,968 lotto pot.

The lone winner, who works as food market vendor in San Juan City, Metro Manila, has been into lotto betting since 1996.

Claiming his winnings last Oct 24 at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes main office in Mandaluyong City, the lone winner told PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan he would invest in business, set aside most of the money for the needs of his wife and four children, and save for future needs.

Balutan, congratulating the winner, advised him to use his prize wisely and keep his winning a secret as many relatives would surely come to look for him.  SFM/rga
