Police on full alert starting Thursday

MANILA, Philippines— Starting Thursday, October 27, the police force will go on full alert, ahead of All Saints’ Day,  in time for the influx of passengers in bus terminals, seaports and airports, said Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman, Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr.

This was announced on Wednesday after PNP chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome on said the PNP will not be the only agency ensuring the safety of all travels ahead of All Saints’ Day but also local government units, government and non-government agencies, and volunteer groups.
Assistance desks will not only be situated in bus terminals and other mass transit stations but also in cemeteries, to ensure that law enforcers remain visible at all times.

The Quezon City police force has earlier launched Task Force Kaluluwa to ensure that policemen will be seeing to anti-criminal operations, security situations inside cemeteries as well as in major bus and train terminals.

Officers ensuring security inside cemeteries will not allow alcoholic beverages, and deadly or bladed weapons.
