Senior Supt. Renato Dugan, PRO-7 Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division chief, said the order came from Camp Crame and did not state the reason behind the relief of the police officers.

“We can’t say if this is still part of the internal cleansing because the order did not state any reason,” he told reporters.

The affected policemen were ordered to report to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit in Camp Crame. Since July 1, one-hundred twenty three (123) policemen from Central Visayas have been relieved from their posts.

Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, PNP chief, earlier said a number of policemen were into the illegal drugs trade.  SFM
