MANILA, Philippines — A village official was killed after he, together with his wife and son, was robbed by armed men in Agusan del Sur Tuesday, police said Wednesday.

Superintendent Martin Gamba, spokesman of Caraga police, said that Barangay (village) Katipunan chairman Rogelio Estodillo, his wife Flordeliza, and son Felden were traveling on board a pick-up truck at P-5, Barangay (village) Osmeña, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur, at midnight when unidentified suspects attacked them.

He said that the suspects flagged down the victims’ vehicle and ordered them to get out of the vehicle at gunpoint.
